Hello all, my first post here
I finished this week a Tamiya 1/48 F-16, It looks great, but I want now a 1/32, but I cant find one!
I tried at www.hlj.com but they only have a really old model with low details...
So, someone know where I can buy one?
thanks! |

Hey guys, I was informed Academy will be releasing a 1/32 Viper soon. An accurate C or D Viper with the quality of the 1/32 F-18C perhaps. |

Word on ARC is that the 1:32 Academy kit is about a year away (12/04). If it is anything like their 1:32 Hornet kit I am going to be looking at some serious debt here... |

| Also, a word of warning- there are really only two 1:32 F-16 kits (manufacturers), Hasegawa and Revell. All of the Ace/Kangham/Zhengdefu/??? kits are poor rip-off copies. The Hasegawa and Revell kits can be had at reasonable prices, no need to go second-tier. Also, skip any and all 1:32 F-16XL kits, they're way off in accuracy. |

habu2, exactly how many of the 32 Viper do you intend to buy, IF it is going to be the quality of the 32 Hornet?
cheers, |

Well its not a quantity think, its the unit cost - I'm bracing myself for a retail cost of USD$100-120 for the Academy kit. |

habu2,
that is quite expensive. I didn't get the Academy 32 Hornet myself. But, if my memory serves, I remember my friends bought it for S$100-110 here in Singapore. And the exchange rate is ~US$1 = S$1.70. |

I bought one Acad -18 for USD$80 at the Squadron Open House last year. It can usually be found for ~USD$100. I'm anticipating the same for the -16 here in the states.
Enanon, have you found a kit yet? |

Slips not the word, more like Extensive delays
I waited for almost 2 years past the relaese date for teh SU-27's, and missed getting directly from Korea when I was stationed there in all of 94. Then I missed it again, as the Acad F-18 was suppose to release in Dec of 01, and I spent all of 02 on the ROk, and only saw test shots.
So figure this one to be delayed into 05, or a cancelation all together
