I think Meathook hit the nail squarely. Half the world's current Viper folks are American but what about ex-viper guys like me. The USAF provides a much larger venue for people to have a hand in the F-16 business than any other country. So if we could survey ALL the F-16 vets out there (like me) I think we would find that 2/3 or better are American but so what?? This site was the brainchild of a couple of Belgian guys who love Vipers. I say Thanks!!!
Aside from the numbers, another thing that I think bears relevance is the USAF especially the active duty side is NOT tolerant of internal criticism. Oh leadership talks the talk but if you ask hard questions too often your career suffers. Given that, this site provides a sounding board for highly dedicated, American military aviation professionals to express themselves in a way they could not otherwise. |

In the thread 'Your Air Force Lieutenants could use your prayers' one of the posters thinks Americans are possibly monopolizing this website. What do you think, want to read a bit of history, I would like to hear your thoughts on it all.
Maybe we are, I don't know, but we do seem to be a large number here.
No feelings hurt, just see what is written and if there has been a misunderstanding... I'd like to know, what is wrong with communicate efforts there.
Thanks for your thoughts
well Meathook, can't say much about the post in question since it was long removed.
As for monopolizing the site, I guess "strong influence" will be the words of my choice. (Perhaps I've missed the discussion to why sections are dedicated for F-35 and F-22 on a site founded upon the interest in Viper named f-16.net? maybe the URL is redirected to lockheedmartin.net?)
In a nutshell, I can't help but feel, I am participating a forum of www.af.mil or www.airforce.com at times.

Good point, maybe a Typhoon section then also? |

| Not a bad idea, this is a very cool aviation site centered on the Viper but it take off in any direction with the right "push". Cheers |
