In one of the pictures of the latest batch of Vipers for Bahrein I noticed birdslicers in front of the cockpit. Is that correct? Which one do they have? Is there a clear picture of them?
Has the first batch of Vipers for Bahrein grey cockpits or black cockpits? I'm building a Bahraini Viper in 1/72 scale right now!

Hi,
I'm a Bahraini and I may help in some info.
The cockpits are black. What do you mean by birdslicers?

| "Birdslicers" is a nickname for the IFF antenna array just in front of the canopy/windscreen. |

Are all the cockpits of the Bahraini Vipers black or just the new batch? I'm building one of the older batch with two sparrows and four sidewinders as load out. This is correct?
Also I need some good clear pictures of preferably the last batch of block 40 Vipers. I haven't seen much of it.
Did Bahraini Vipers flew combat sorties during the second Gulf War last year?
After I've finnished the model I want to write an article on Bahraini Vipers for our IPMS Netherland magazine. So any in debt help is welcome and that s why I need some pics.

The Block 40's have the AIFF antennas. Also, I remember working the sidwall fairng in this jet and they were gray, so the cockpit was not blacked out on this jet. Plus it sported the WAC size HUD.

| ViperEnforcer, do these new Bahraini jets have MMC & CMFDs? (i.e. are the CCIP/MLU-avionics?) |

The Bah. F-16's have AIFF (Mode-4), No CCIP avionics yet. Yes they have flown during the 2nd Gulf war last year 2003 as CAP missions over Kuwait. They can carry six AMRAAM's(AIM-120 B) instead.
The picture of the above F-16 attached by Raptor-5 is exactly the same as the Bahraini.
