Hi,
I'm in the skills USA contest for aviation skills. I've been pouring over the FARAIM, the private pilot maunal and even Google but I cannot find the answer to this question ?
Is there such a thing as a standard turn rate?
and is there such a thing as a standard bank angle?
Any help is appreciated |

Open up Google. Type in "standard bank angle" (with the quotes). Click on the first link. Read.
Hint: it involves 2 minutes and a full circle. |

Here is a great site, FAA, almost anything you need to know about flying and "how too"...
Enjoy and good luck, there is nothing like flying...nothing (well maybe a few things come close)

p.s. Guysmiley you remind me of my teacher, already knows the answer but still makes me search a 110 page book for 1/2 an hour |

That's why it's called learning! Give a man a fish, and all that jazz. |

| But for those who still want to know, 'standard rate' is 3° per second. Bank angle as required to meet that based on airspeed, and as I recall not to exceed 30° of bank. |
