As the subject says, what is the best way to get rid of the mold seams and where is the best place to get whatever materials I will need.

There's really one one way to go about it, and that's to sand them off. Start with 600 grit wet, then 1000, 1200, 3200, 3400, 3600,4000,8000, and finally 12,000....all wet. You can find these grits in a polishing kit for car modelers. Mine is a Detail Master kit.
After the sanding, polish with Tamiya polishing compound, and then dip it into a bath of Future floor polish, and voi-la!

On the left is the stock tinted canopy, just sanded ans polished. On the right is a canopy tinted with a mixture of Tamiya smoke and clear yellow. I went a little overboard with it, but I got that golden color I wanted. That started out as a stock clear canopy.
