Good to hear the pilot's ok!
If anyone has a link to a local news station or can confirm the unit, please let us know.
We've posted the news on F-16.net: Luke F-16 crashes, pilot OK - fourth USAF F-16 crash in four weeks
Thanks,

My buddy is in this unit. He's ok, it wasn't him that was flying, but the lid is closed on it for now. I could not get any further info.

"Pilot OK" is always the best news ever. Always hate seeing the titles of these threads then having to click it to find out.

I was on the line lauching a jet when the one crashed. Had to shut down and abort the sortie obviously. The pilot got out and is ok. No further info from me at this time. They have asked to wait until the investigation is ok to release any info but I'm sure the media will know about it soon.

True dat. Man....is there precedent for this in recent history.....I mean the kind of month the AF has had....5 writeoffs and an F-15 gear collapse?

Looked like it went down just off the departure end of the 21 paralells there at Luke, somebody said their were flames coming out the back end of the jet when the guy pulled the loud handle and got out.
