Great site!
I was a crew chief on the 16 from 90 to 95. Started at Torrejon in the 401 EMS phase. 614th dock, deployed to Incirlik with the 612th for Desert Shield and Storm. Left there and went to Homestead, 307th FS, in Feb 92, ironically for the weather. Aug 92 got sent to Moody, which all and all wasn't bad until they broke us up and combined us with the 70th FS, then it sucked bad. Buncha pinhead Supervision.
Got parolled in Dec 94, only to be sent to Osan. Spent a year of weeds and seed's, Base defense, and once in a great while I got detailed out to actually crew my damn jet. I requested Holloman and got it. Had had enough of the micro managed world of the F-16. The 117 world was great, until around mid 97 when they started shipping people out as fast as they could, so much for the over manning.
Soon after, the same pinheads that ran the 16's had filtered in to the point that it was as nuts as the 16 world. Had enough and declined reenlistment Feb 99. When I got out I took a job in general aviation working Cessna's Beech's. Was fun, got to run and taxi planes. I just took a job at Robins AFB, GA working C-5 Hydraulics, damn trash haulers. Civil Service ain't a bad gig though.
From what I've seen here, I think I know a few people here. See Ya around the board.

- 90-0779 Osan, Great pic of it on this side, when I still crewed it even!
F-117:- 83-0807 Damn good jet, Always code 1

Ok, Cutlassracer, who is this (I'm thinking and guessing, but no luck)?
Mike Kopack here, was 401EMS Phase (89-91) 613th dock, but I deployed to Qatar with the 614th (seems as though we traded spots...)

I got there in 91, I was assigned to the 307th. We only had 5 jets when I got there. We were working out of the hanger till our AMU was finished. The 307th was made up of ex Torrejon and Hahn guys and gals from what I can remember. |

Kopack, I'd say we were roomates, but just about the entire time, you were in Doha and I was in Incirlik. Our stuff lived together for quite awhile.
Gunny, I remember ya. I think I know Vinny and Lurch from here also.
Stutler, the name is familiar. Yeah the 307th seemed to be opened just for a place to put us. Swing shift in B flight was just a slightly modified version of the 612th B flight swing shift.
Later, C. Holley |

New here! I am Matt Thompson. I think I know some you you guys! I started with the 308th at Homestead and then went to the 307th when it opened. Then went to Moody after Andrew. I crewed 89-2096 in the 308th and 90-0763 in the 307th. Any of you guys remember me?

Welcome Matt
I linked your aircraft to the serial database so you can easily see their history. We don't have a photo of 90-0763 and do you have any stories even about these aircraft?
