Remember that if you are going to be an Officer in the US military you are going to be an American Officer in the US military, not an Indian Officer in the US military. Review Articles I and VI of the Code of Conduct if you have questions about that. If that is not the identity you are looking for than you are probably better off going back to India.
Additionally, who you choose to fight for should be a judgement made by your beliefs and morality. Are you willing to bomb the very places in those pictures one day? Or your old home? If not you have no business in the US military, which has a tendancy to bother itself in everyones affairs, even India's. Or how about working side by side with closely allied Pakistan?
Lastly, I dont think youve mentioned weather or not you have citizenship here. Absolutely neccessary to goto the Air Force Academy or to Commission as an Officer.
Edit: Oh, one more thing. I understand your from a different country and all but you are going to have to pass a rather large English portion of the AFOQT in order to commission into the USAF. It would really be to you benefit to go back and edit your post a bit.

You have one heck of a resume there. But there are somethings you want to do if really want to come to USAFA.
First, find out who the ALO (Academy Liason Officer) is for your school and get in touch with them. Ask your guidance counsler at your school to see if they know, or call up a local Air Force recruiter, they should be able to help you.
Second, you should be able to apply for admission starting 1 March, at least thats what it was when I applied. Go to http://www.academyadmissions.com and find the application on there.
Third, take chemistry and physics classes if you haven't already as those classes give people a lot of trouble out here.
Fourth, get the ACT or SAT taken as quickly as possible. You're cutting it close with that one already because if you don't do so hot the first time around you're gunna want to go back and retake them to improve your scores.
Fifth, call up your local congressional representative and both of your senator's offices to ask about service academy nominations, or you can go to their website.
That's all I can think of right off hand right on, but you have a good record from what you put on there. Just keep working hard and contact me if you have any specific questions. If I can't answer them, there are 4,000 other people here at USAFA that I can ask. Good luck. |

szkizzer-
As I am currently a high school senior applying for colleges now, the best advice that I can give you is if you want to go to a certain school apply to it. Even if you think it is out of your class you never know. If you get rejected.. so what you will always have backups and I'm sure with a resume like that, you will be able to get an AFROTC scholarship for almost any school you want. Remember you won't know if you don't try. Good luck! |

NOT true, you don't have to take the AFOQT if you go to the Zoo....at least you didn't used it, that might have changed. |

Weather he does or not I was making the point that it would help his response if he made his post easier to read.

They had it on our schedule one weekend for the firsties with pilot slots to take it so I think they have to take it. However, I'm not completely sure.
Another thing szkizzer is to apply to ROTC as a back up. Even if you don't get the scholarship you can still join ROTC. It just comes out of your own pocket. |
