I don't know. I used to work in the program and got it from a buddy who still does. |

If I remember correctly they do but not as much as a 16. |

Sorry - best I got right now. You might check the USAF or Code One websites. Probably some sort of official photo. |

Nice pic falconfixer860261 !
I am sure whoever serves in Nellis, Tyndall, Langley or Edwards is a lucky man/woman to see these grey sleek creatures every day in action !
From Greece - or rather Cranfield University, Cranfield, UK - , Best Wishes to all of the men and women serving there

I'm surprised that some don't recognize that mountain in the background as located at Nellis AFB as it's behind Nellis Tower.
It was when several Raptors from all units that operates them were at Nellis in Dec 2005 for a JDAM conference/symposium before IOC.
Here's almost the exact same pic on Nellis AFB's Bullseye online newspaper. Article starts on page 1 and pic on page 5:

Very nice, isn't it (bringing tears to my eyes). |

Totally agree with you Scorpion1alpha.
You can't mistake the characteristic Nevada desert mountain scenery and the tower as you quite rightly pointed out is a very good indication that we are at Nellis.
As far as I am concerned I was making more general comment about the lucky people serving with the jet rather than speculating about the pic's location.
Anyway I wish I had one of them to sleep at night !!!! (Right after a tough day's flying of course after beating some nasty's Flanker's A$$!!!! ).
Yea ... the little boy in me spoke again even though I am becoming 30 years old next week!!!!
I would need a set of a HUGE duvet and pillow to cover it and place it somewhere soft though and keep it's electronics warm....
Nights in the desert can get pretty cold
You see some have dreams about Ferrari's I have dreams about Raptors !!!!
Just a funny post to make you all lough !!!

Oh, I wasn't poking fun at you Thodoris/RaptorFighterPilot.
It was actually directed to falconfixer860261, Roscoe, and swanee as it seemed they weren't sure where the location was and I was poking fun in general.
Actually, I guess I should be the last to do that. I've been to quite a few AFBs (and other service's bases/post) in my career, and yet if I see a picture of the base (particularly only a small section or portion of it), I sometimes may not recognize where it is at. |
