Since I cannot fly the Real sweet-16 Viper I can fly it online on my CPU. This game is remarkable and the software team spent years to put it together as it is today. I know there is a squadron of online guys who fly together and bomb and fight other online squads. The 74th TFW and the 504TFW. I will get link to these site if you want me too. 710 page manuel on how to fly this puppy, just like the real thing.
Cheers and happy hunting,
Russ
P.S
Not sure if this was brought up in the past but the new version Allied Force is stunning. Check it out!

So far I am disappointed in this game? Why? Because its almost identical to Free falcon. If you don't know free falcon, It is a free upgrade for the original falcon 4.0. So it seems like someone is cashing in on the hard work of others who tried to keep the game free. I got allied force for Christmas and have not flew any missions besides straight and level...because my joystick broke...But so far everyting seems EXACTLY the same.
But anyway its still a awesome game. |

| FreeFalcon is way better than AF. plus it supports any kinds of third-party add-ons so FF is as real as it gets. |

I just recently got AF and so far have been very impressed with the flight model, avionics functionality, graphics... ... I have never heard of Free Falcon add-on for 4.0, does anybody know what features that version has beyond AF? |

| Remember that Falcon 4 Allied Force is the new "official" Falcon 4.0 sim. It has full developer support from Lead Persuit as well as regular patches. FreeFalcon is all community based. So dont expect the same kind of support as a full commercial product. |

| Is Free Falcon the whole game, or is just patches for the game? If it is patches, is it compatible with AF? |

I've been using Falcon 4.0 since it first came out, and that is so long ago I can't remember it. Before that I had 2.0 and 3.0.
There are a few different after market add-ons or upgrades like FreeFalcon. Common for all of them is that they are not all that easy to install properly, and is relatively hardware Dependant. I can't count the times I've had to remove and reinstall the system to make it run, and each time it is 3-6 different patches that must be installed in a set order.
If AF removes all that Hazel I'm all for it, as I have not used mine in over a year due to crash problems etc. |

it's a huge patch which was made for the original Falcon 4.0 and it's not compatible with AF.
If you install the original Falcon 4.0 CD + the FreeFalcon add-on, you'll have a Falcon that's way better than AF tho, graphics and realism. You should give it a try. If you got problems with the installation just post over at the FreeFalcon forum they can help you.

go to the Falcon 4 forum on www.frugalsworld.com and do a search for "Haole" he's a viper driver with the 157th SC ANG he used to post a lot over there at frugs I dunno if he still does. but there's a huge thread with him answering tons of questions regarding Falcon 4.0 and some other -16 related stuff. |

I'm not an F-16 pilot, but I did stay in a Holliday Inn Express once.
I have flown the sim at Cannon and Falcon 4.0, and honestly, unless Rexxxx was yanking my chain, the F-16 sim was easier to fly than Falcon 4.0. The difficult part is doing anything in the jet past yanking and banking.
I did the manuever off the runway that the T-birds guy did w/o smacking terra firma, and even managed to land it the second time. It took me a while to get good at flying 4.0. Also, horsing that stick around was HARD after a while. Not at all like my MicroSoft stick, LOL!
I asked if they had the sim de-tuned or set to some beginner level, but Rexxxx told me it was full up, so FWTW, it was interesting to me that the jet sim was easier to fly that the PC sim....and strafing Cannons water tower was pretty fun too! |

Maybe your expereince in F4.0 gave you the advantage Scott. F4.0 is pretty deep; with all the avionics, radar modes, toggles and switches and what not you can control. When the actual switches are right in front of you it must be easier. Having panoramic site probably also helped. I try an play F4.0 off a laptop screen and I'm always trying to strain my eyes to see what stuff is. Even with the zoom in.
