Hello All ..
Does anyone know how long the 8th Fighter Wing has carried and employed the Harm weapons system ?
The first time I noticed this was on a video I taped not to long ago about the 8th FW and Kunsan and they were carrying Harms .. This is when they still had the Block 30's ..
I guess what I would like to know is if they were using this in the early 90's as well?
Cheers

| Kun Class of 00/01. They picked them up in the 80th, in 99/00 time frame but had no HTS. Harm did all the work. |

Hi all,
This is my first post in this great forum. In regard to the 8 FWs employment of HRAMs in the 80 FS, I have some pics from 1993-95 period where the 80 FS Block-30 jets are carrying the HARM launchers - both with and without CATM-88s atatched. I belive that the "Juvats" have had this capacity from the beginning of F-16/HARM operations.
Greetings,
Henrik. |

The 80FS 8FW flies Block 30`s, and these have always been able to carry and launch the AGM-88 Harm. Just look at the old photos from mid-80`s of the 52FW at Spangdahlem, wich operated the F-16 along the F-4G for maximum effect. Even took this arrangement to Gulf War 1.
Also the Navy operates the AGM-88`s withouth the ASQ-213 pod, but the Vipers that do carry the ASQ-213 does make the best and most complete HARM shooting platform in the inventory of the US armed forces as far as I`ve read. |

| Kun Class 92/93. Maintained the LAU-118 for the HARM back then. Heck Osan didn't want theirs and they shipped them all to us. Not sure of when they first got them but they had been there for at least a year or so back in 92. (holy crap that was a long time ago, I hear the Kun doesn't suck anymore) |
