Horrido!

TNX for nice words Scorp-breath.

And if you guys couldn't predict ol' Forrest Gums' contacts (honest, I ain't making this up), Moseley was a student of mine at SOS in the 70's. I have his signature on a picture hanging right here in my "war room".

Maybe a few of us have the same ideas about what is right and what is pure B.S.

IMHO, Fogleman was the last true warrior to lead USAF. I flew with him back in '68, then again in the Viper when he was the Vice Wing CO at Hill. The man was the real deal. He rescued the C-17 program, he was a true fighter pilot, he had a sense of humor, he got along really well with the enlisted troops, he walked away when things got too "political" for his sense of duty.

Quoth Bobby Lee, "Duty then is the sublimest word in the English language. You should do your duty in all things. You can never do more. You should never wish to do less."

A general at the Air University once addressed us about duty, and his admonishment was that when you couldn't take it anymore, you resigned. Then, and only then did you call your press conference. Let me know if you ever find a Senator or Representative from the U.S. Congress that has demonstrated such profesional ethics or integrity.

gotta tend to chores..... duty, ya know?

and all have a very Merry Christmas!

laying a finger beside his nose............................

Interesting... the day after I mention that the forum needs a name change it occurs...
Anyway the F/A designation was idiotic, the F-15 and _16 can carry bombs yet you don't see them with F/A in their names.

Look, the only reason the navy has an F/A is because they are the navy. Originally the F-18 was supposed to have 2 variants one with an air-to-air radar and one with a ground attack radar, then they merged the design when they realised one radar could to both. Hopefully we will never see another F/A designation again.

Better than being a "Growler"... My brain never matured past the 14-year old toilet humor level so that's really funny to me. Mad

LMAO

That was always a dumb name to me, just because so many people call the firing of an AIM-9 a "Growler Shot".

Then again, Growler could also describe my stomach after too much Chinese food. Growler could be the pesky neighbor's dog...You're right Blind. The possibilities are quite numerous. Laughing

So, how long until the JSF is called a F/A-35? Also, shouldn't we call the Super Hornet a A/F-18E/F?
