If you want the Don Color schemes, we can all upload them, but like Habu2 said. One, they're low res. Two, they're copyrighted.
BTW, if anyone is interested in painting these kind of things, we are still looking for a graphics designer for our site.
The Don Color paintings can make a good start for someone who is willing to paint these things in high res. Possibly even on a 3D version of an F-16. The first thing this designer would have to do is find a good example of a 3D view off course. All suggestions are welcome.
Greets,
I think we can't use Don Color's. For temporary, I think it's OK (with permission, of course) but like Stefaan said, there should be a standard drawings and an "artist" who will redraw the scheme sent by members here.
3D rendering is a great idea, but 4 view drawings is more helpful as it can be printed like "painting instruction".
And how about stencilings ? I know most of operators use standard USAF stencilings, but Indonesian is not. We use our own design.
Cheers, |

Stefaan, I was thinking of the 3-D rendering.
On a slight tangent, how about a scale model category in the gallery? We could probably collect photos members (and others) have done of the different countries.
Also, don't forget the numerous paint schemes worn by the USN/USAF adversary/aggressor squadrons...
A model gallery would be a definate plus for this site, and something that seems to be missing.

Hi Guys,
Scale model gallery is certainly feasible. Would someone be interested in moderating this gallery (i.e. sorting and classifying incoming scale model photographs, entering a caption, etc) ?

Habu2,
we definitely shouldn't forget the aggressor schemes and experimental schemes such as European One.
Looks like we need two things:
1. a good example for each color scheme
2. someone who's willing to retrace the color schemes on a high-res, blank, 4-view drawing of the F-16.
Eventually, I would find some time to do 2., but I'm also really busy with other sections (you'll see ) and I wouldn't say no if someone would volunteer for this
Alex,
The Indonesian schemes look great. Guess what I'm going to ask - would you by any chance have some time to spare for a noble cause ?
stefaan
PS I moved the indonesian schemes to the "Color Schemes" album - you can also upload directly into that album. |

| How about the artwork done by Two Bobs? ViperEnforcer, you have some models posted there, how well do you know (the remaining) Bob? Maybe he would provide, or at least grant permission, to use some of his artwork here? He could/would be given credit, and a little free advertising couldn't hurt... |

Know him pretty well. So what art work of his would you like to use? You can send me a PM for the details

Thank you Stefaan.
I'd love to help but as I said to Habu also, I'm not a computer expert and drawing one Indonesian scheme like that need 2+ months of my time...
Sorry ! |
