Holy Crap!! I almost forgot I was building a model. Well, I'm back home and done with TDYs for awhile. I'll get some more done and update. Yes, this was an old 522nd jet. It became our wing king in June 2003 as it was the first jet we accepted from Cannon during our transition from Block 40s.

Ok guys, here it is as promised. I got the eng bay and engine done. Keep in mind that I'm building this with the engine installed, so not a lot of detail was put into it. Mostly slap together and paint. Hope ya'll enjoy. Criticism welcome.

And now the engine. Since only the lower forward section will be seen through the access panels, this was the only section to receive parts and paint. Real quick build as not a lot of it will be seen. And for you nit-pickers, yes I know that the engine is not that silver in real life. I did this mainly for contrast and I know that probably most people that see this have never seen a GE in real life and won't know the difference.

Here is a couple from the rear. Paint is applied but not a wash. This will be done later to weather the conv/dive seals.

I agree. It's been one of the biggest piles we have. I think I am going to change it to 86-0350. The only reason I was going to do 310 was because I was the ADCC on it a few years back. I have been the DCC for 350 for awhile now and it proves to be a much better jet.

my favorite birds were your block 40's when they came to Aviano in 97ish . we got called into work on weekend duty to help gen up your birds for some kind of crapola going on. plus some "sensitive" member of the 31st FW tried to file a EEO suit because the side of your jets said "tacos"
