| Yeah, he's still on the flightline. We have a handfull of really good guys here, and he's one of them. Things are changing around here, though, and some of the new guys coming in are a little shakey. |

Lockheed is hiring for the UAE and Poland is coming up soon. But your best bet is UAE for now. |

If you guys want to move to Salt Lake City Utah, the Depot here for the F-16 is hiring, his qualifications he already has should be enough to get him in the door.
He can start with L3, which is where I work now, I'm a contractor at the Depot and will eventually move on to the civil service side of the operation as everyone does.
Have him contact Roxann Hood at L3, her e-mail address is roxann.hood@hill.af.mil and her phone number is 801-586-1768. L3 recently bought out Ratheon, so there may be jobs down there in Texas as well, I'm sure Roxann would be more than willing to help with that as well.
They are hiring like crazy right now, have him apply for the position of Aircraft Worker as an AG Mechanic. The job starts at $18.41 an hour at L3, and once he's picked up by the civil service its close to $23 an hour with all the benefits. All the work is indoors, so its always a sunny 70 degrees.
They have the interview, then once a job is offered they will have him take a drug screen, and a background check which takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks, mine took 2, and I'm sure with his background his wont take long either.
Any other questions post them here and I'll check this often, I'm off work tomorrow paid for Martin Luther King's day. It really is a good job, and tell him its even a bit more laid back than crewing on the active side. I really hope he finds something soon, I went through the same thing when I separated from the Active Duty side.
There is a TON of job security as well, this place isn't going anywhere, they have recently announced the depot for the B1 and the F22 are going to be here as well, so this will be secure for you guys as well. |

go on http://www.fulltimeguard.com they have links to openings in the guard. Wilmington DE was hiring not too long ago and the pay is great for that area and they just got a locality increase- no C-130 exp necessary.
Also the http://www.afpc.randolpf.af.mil site is great for full time reserves positions. My wife has used those two links to get me both my civilian assignments. Check every Friday and one other day of the week like a tuesday for new postings so you don't miss anything. Jobs are usually open for a week. You apply online. And in most cases you do not need any experience on the specific aircraft you are applying for in the guard or reserves - they will be happy to retrain you if you are a good troop. I was a F-16 crew dog now I am on the C-5. I was offered jobs on the C-130 at Wilmington but turned it down to stay here. BTW Stewart AFB in NY is usually hiring and we just got a 15% raise. I had been looking for another job and noticed things usually are a little slower in the winter for some reason.
It can take a minimum of one month to get a call back from the guard and even longer for the reserves but the wait is well worth it. Best of luck and hang in there. |
