| Great photo! Has anyone got separate images of the 13/14th EAMU portions of this wall. Its a shame the 14th EAMU section is slightly chopped off. |

i have a photo of our shop posing in front of the wall but i don't wanna put all their faces on here... thats the only one of the wall i could find, i didn't take any pictures of it but wish i would have. the fight squadron had their own wall but they messed it up with stenciling all the bombs that we dropped. |

Sadly I don't have a picture of the Syracuse barrier. I took a few of the Misawa barriers because in the late 80s I was a Wild Weasel Crew Chief on F-4Gs in the 35TFW at George AFB, CA.
These were all taken in October 07. |

Hey Weasel Keeper,
GREAT series of barrier art photos!!
The unit You mentioned with the Mount Rushmore art is the South Dakota ANG - 175th FS / 114th FW - flying "Small Inlet" Block-30s.
Greetings,
Henrik. |

| Someone posted recently about the diff. in Navy and AF aircraft where the Navy has the Sq. CO's A/C all decked out in color. This barrier art is a pretty good answer as far as I'm concerned! |

These pictures are a modellers wet dream! How tall and wide are the individual barrier sections? I'd love to have an F-16 diorama in 1/32 done before our display at Nellis next Nov.!!!! Couple of questions. Are the different barriers in the different pics near each other? Are some on the backside of the others? I'd like to cram in as much of the artwork as possible onto the diorama base. Do the planes park or taxi near the artwork or is the artwork only seen when you first walk onto the base (at the entrance?)
In otherwords, can I put a model going past some barrier artwork or will that look like the plane is taxiing around outside the base? |

| dave, the barriers where the maint. building is right across from HAS 33, it's also catty corner from HAS 34, the barriers are about 12 feet tall and about 6 feet wide, somebody correct me if I'm wrong, I lose memory a lot once I get back to the states. |

I'd say they were closer to 4-5' wide, but about 12-15' tall sounds about right. The Misawa, Wisconsin, and South Dakota barriers are all in front of the North AMU like Scorpio said. Jets from HAS 33, 34, and beyond would taxi past these to get to the runways.
The "Cave Putorium" Panter Alert and "Wood On Demand" barriers are in the alert area, and would be hard to model without knowing the layout of the compound...and I'm not telling.
There was also some good barrier art and HAS paintings on the south side but I didn't get any pics of them. |

| Excellent info, thanks! I can always fudge a little for arts sake, like painting artwork on both sides and putting it in the diorama so it all gets represented. No one can call me on it unless they've been there! I will probably do the color artwork on one side and the subdued stuff and black panther on the other sides. I was going to do my Academy 1/32 in Nellis WA markings but now I think I'll do the included Misawa decals and do up the barriers. Thanks again! |

| One of my seemingly andless collateral duties there...along with going with the people going down in the sewers (as if I was going in there after them if anything happened) was going with the people positioning the T walls in various places.....what utter tedium.....a flatbed, a crane, 10 or 12 TCNs and off we go. The only things worse were the hesco barriers. There weren't that many barriers up in '04, but I bet there's a bazillion of them now. The plant that makes them is right there on base. |
