Hi,
Recently served in Afghanistan as a FAC where my first drop was from a BAF Viper. On return to the UK I'm planning to build some models of all the aircraft that I worked with out there.
I know that the Vipers loadout was 1 x GBU-12 + 1 x GBU-38 but I can't find a single photo to represent this. All the photos I've found show 2 x GBU-12s.
Does anybody have any pics of a BAF F-16 with the current ISAF loadout?
Also I'm looking for tail numbers that were out there when I was there, Mar 09 - Oct 09. My drop from this viper came in Apr 09.
Thanks in advance for your help. |

Tail numbers that were present during that period: FA-83, FA-127
There must be a couple others, but we don't know their serials yet.
The reason that we don't have a picture with the GBU-12/GBU-38 loadout simply is because the BAF only started flying in that configuration in late 2008.

Cheers Bjorn,
I trawled though all the BAF F-16s after I posted that and found out the tail numbers too, thanks for the reply though. I have a couple of mates out there at the moment, I'll try to get them to get down to the flight line and blag a walkaround one of the jets. If they manage it I'll be sure to post up some pictures here.

| Hoi there, the AN/AAQ-14 targeting pod was the one the BAF vipers used during that deployment right? |

| Building a 1/48 Belgian Viper, and the last post was for that purpose too, got another question, is the BRU-57 available for the Belgian Air component now or just one GBU-38/31 on station? |
