| Courtesy of Top Gear. $65,000 for 190 hp? That only develops that at 6200 RPM? Meh. Apache footage is cool though. |

Long live Top Gear.... they have done other stunts like this
- Car vs Sea Harrier around their race track.
- Range Rover Sport vs Challenger II Main Battle Tank - Editors comment: The RRS lost!
- Noble vs Jaguar drag race.
- Aston Martin DB9 vs Train to South of France (from London) - Incidently, the DB9 won
- Ferrari vs Airliner + Public Transport to the French Alps - again, the car won
- Mercedes SLK vs Ferry to Oslo - Car won again!!! And it had to go through the tunnel and up through most of Europe!
It is positively the best car show on the planet; and was recognised last week for it as well; it won an Emmy
Oh and don't diss the Lotus that thing is as light as a feather making it move like lightning

LOL, I would love to find the SHAR and Challenger vids to watch over and over again. I think I have the SHAR taped somewhere but VHS is so old hat!
Anyone remember his time in the Strike Eagle? Now THAT was funny. |

Visit the Top Gear website download section and start emailing in requests in for the SHAR and Challenger video's. I've already sent one in.
I may not be correct, but isn't the F-15E video from another of his off shoot programmes. |

Yeah the F-15E was from his inventions show if I remember rightly as one of the shows was dedicated to the Jet engine.... another show was dedicated to the Gun.... in single fire mode he nicely grouped 5 shots from an AK-47 into the side of a transit then switched to full auto and sprayed the whole mag... not a single bullet hit the transit lol!!!
I agree Clarkson for PM... one slight problem with it though; he'd declare war on the french for being the french, and he'd declare war on the germans for well, being german. Oh and he'd more than likely sever relations with America as they don't know how to make a proper car that can turn a corner

I think the F-15E footage was reused in the jet engine program, it's much older but I can't recall the program it was from (your right it wasn't Top Gear).
The gun episode was great. Those Royal Marines wouldn't let the poor chap die |

Phew! That Toyota Hilux was like the car Christine! Clarkson totally sold me on the DB9, what a car, a proper Aston!
What would have been nice in the Apache/Lotus vid would have been a real Hellfire shot Couldn`t send a request to the BBC for the SHAR / Challenger vid for some reason?
Seeing Clarkson puking in the back of the F-15E while doing a Saturn take-off again would be good! |

The original link at the top isn't the full video for the apache vs lotus thing... the full one is on the top gear website.
After that, it cuts to the studio and the pilots+ground crew are there and they talk about how they actually could not get a laser/radar lock on him... and how in a real scenario like that they would of just used the gun and cut him in half!
Then Richard Hammond steps up and runs another video this time the apache is 5 miles away... gets an immediate lock and fires a "missile" which then blows jeremy up

Correction. The STIG Mk.1 dies! The 'new' STIG is another guy I've been told. Can anyone verify that??
The only problem with the 'STIG Dies' clip is you know its a bit 'fixed' when you see the Jag catapulted off the ski-jump. Guess if they did let it go without a little help, it would have likely impacted with the ship on the downward leg of its journey.
The other clips are more real [If heavily cut!] if you get what I mean. |
