It just dawned on me how cool it would look for a Block 50/52 to carry an AGM-88 on one side and a double/triple launch rail with AGM-65's on the other Cool

However, I've never seen this arrangement !?

Does anyone know if its done/has been done ?

I've seen the combination of single rail AGM-65's with AGM-88 on the other side and know that this works fine, but again not the other option as previously described Wink

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks Cool

During Allied Force we flew some with an 88 and one 65.

Mavericks are loaded on either the LAU-88 (triple rail) or the LAU-117 (single rail). The triple rail launcher can only support the lighter weight Mavericks (read: smaller warhead) whereas the single rail can carry any Maverick. The versatility of the single rail launcher is driving the LAU-88 into disfavor.

Hello Boman,

During the 1990s there were some tests with four AGM-88s loaded on the F-16 - on stations 3, 4, 6, 7 leaving no space for the wing tanks - only the center tank. I belive these plans were cancelled.

Greetings,

Henrik.
