We are happy to announce the launch of the new F-16 Mishaps section. You can use the link in the "F-16 Reference" menu on the left, or you can go there directly by using the following URL:

http://www.f-16.net/f-16_mishaps.html

The F-16 Mishaps section details losses and mishaps involving the F-16. You can browse the F-16 Mishaps in chronological order, by year, or by air force.

Please realise that we have put great effort into making this section as accurate as possible, but we will continue to update as new information becomes available. This is also where we can use some help. If you have first hand information regarding a mishap, we would be happy to hear from you. Simply add information to the errors and omissions section at the bottom. It could be as simple as letting us know the unit the aircraft belonged to at the time of loss.

Thank you and enjoy,
Jon Somerville,

The mishaps database has also been completely integrated with Bjorn's serials database, so you can use the "F-16 Serials" section's search and advanced search functions to perform more complex searches on the database.

And as Jon already pointed out, if you have any corrections or additions, please let us know. Jon and Bjorn will incorporate your updates in the database.

Stefaan

The latest issue of Combat Aircraft listed a SerNo for the Thunderbird accident, I have it at home. I'll fwd it later unless someone else has it readily available.

Well I can say that there has been a little F-16 crash in Norway to day. One F-16 crashed in to a car, the end of one wing smashed the fron of one car and I dont think anyone was hurt...
