Yeah, Dave and I supplied the photos last May, the day it came out of the paintshop.

Didn't like the scheme or the unit? We should have another Racer F-16 sheet coming out in the near future with any luck, another special scheme.Jake and/or will have complete walk-arounds of this bird in the next couple weeks. |

| NO the schme was cool, I just don't like SS decals that much anymore. The printing just looked off. Plus SS has a habit of not doing thorough research. If Bob or Scott did the sheets, I'd defintiely get them. |

| IIRC Jake (maybe someone else, ARC forums are down ATM) said SS really blew it on the Racer sheet, lots of inaccuracies. If I find the post I'll link it - or maybe Jake will chime in. |

OK, found the post - and I remembered wrong. Here is Jake's quote:
Quote:
The instructions are the usual Superscale crap, but the decal sheet itself looks great and, with the exception of a badly misshapen Iowa paint-barn logo, is 100% accurate.

I plan on using the stencils and data from the DACO/ASTRA sheets(or pick up the TwoBobs F-16 data sheet)for that scheme,I like them better then the SS ones.

They passed on it,they were the first ones the material was offered to.I too would have loved to seen them do them. |

Looked thru all the sheets I have on hand and the printing is ok on all of them.Somethings that aren't on the sheet are the Indy 500 logos on both sides of the glare shield and the ejection seat,Leon added those after roll-out IIRC.85-1500 will be one of the last F-16's on base in September,I pretty much have at least 3 of the 4 F-16's that we'll have remaining for the Falcon Farewell pinned down after talking to Ops and maintenance the last month or so,this reporter will be on hand for the final official sortie on September 8th.
Oh,and look for a special scheme getting rolled out today,I won't have pics until next Tuesday when I hit the base for a walk-around photoshoot of it The crew chief called me and said it should be on the flightline this afternoon after it gets rolled out of the corrosion control/fuels building. |

Not really "passed on them" as much as just didn't have the means to jump on them right away. SuperScale is obviously FAR more agile than we are.....they can certainly crank things out...and it shows. If I could afford to pay Shawn full-time to draw viper art and have it printed right then, I would. Its not lack of interest, its lack of means. |

You can make amends by doing this jet and the Colts jet in 1/32.
