Is it just me or these the worst parts of the kit? They are almost the same size as the shafts for the flaperons and are difficult to distinguish in the little bag. Tamiya should have put the various shafts in separate bags. These pins are not an accurate representation of the real part.
The instructions could flow a little better too. Yes, the kit is amazingly accurate, but it still has a few imperfections.

Look fine to me. There's not much that can be done with them really, the real ones are pretty much just rods as well.

They look good to me, too. I don't know how else Tamiya could have molded them. I agree, the kit's not perfect, but I don't find fault with the static wicks.

All I can say is that Academy's are a more accurate representation of the static dischargers.

Gentlemen, Academy's are a more accurate representation; they look just like the static dischargers on the F-16s I work on.

I went out and looked at some jets and I have to agree. The Academy parts are better representations.

I think I'll build my own static dischargers for my Tamiya before buying an Academy. If not, those would be some costly dischargers. lol.

THe Timaya F-16 kits on a whole put the Academy kits to [Link pending approval] I would much rather build my own dischargers out of mono [Link pending approval] then to be sanding off ejector pin marks all day and have some nice dischargers LOL
