Any flight surgeons or med techs out there?

Let's see... Class I/IAs...
  • Plenty of PAPERWORK (questionaires, "have you evers")
  • Height/weight [you don't want to be a fattie, nor do you want to be Dino from the Flintstones...no convertible F-16s out there (ideally)]
  • Eyes (cycloplegic...they're gonna dilate your eyes, son) Smile
  • Ears (I still think I hear beeps when there aren't any)
  • Pulse (you MUST have one, no exceptions)
  • EKG (your pulse must be accompanied by some sort of measurable signal, this signal must be regular/normal/whatever)
  • Teeth (they want to count 'em, take pictures of 'em, make sure that they're healthy, etc)
  • Chest X-Ray (all organs present/accounted for, Normal)
Blood (drawn and tested for HIV/cholesterol levels, etc)
  • Urine (hope you haven't been puffing/huffing/snorting/shooting, etc)
  • Semen (NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...just kidding...walk across the flightline on the wrong day/at the wrong time, and all your swimmies might be dead anyway)
  • Flight Surgeon (you'll review everything with the flight doc at the end o' the day...and, depending on your age, he may have to check your nozzle for you)

I think there might be (which means that there is, but I don't know where) a site out there somewhere on the WWW that lists all of the specifics. Consider the preceding to be the abbreviated version. Check a .mil site for the amplified. I'm flying a desk today, so this forum is the only entertainment I've got.

Hope this helps,
Twoop
