Before BRAC it was rumored NDANG might convert to F-15s, but I guess they decided that the odds of Rooskies bombers attacking over the North Pole was about as likely as an invasion by Canada. Oh well, it woulda been cool. |

most of the 27FS F-15C's went to St.Louis,131FW Missouri ANG to replace their F-15A's which went to either the BoneYard(Hightime jets) or the Jacksonville's 125FW to replace their hightime F-15A's...
Sadly its looks like the 131FW will not be keeping their F-15C's due to the BRAC....rumour's are some will go to Nellis to form a new Aggressor sqn,but this has been talked about before and never happend. |

| we're swapping tails all over the 15 world right now. We have the oldest jets in the fleet over here on okinawa and were sending a bunch of teh old jets to guard units. My jet which has 8000 hours is one of the first to go. |

Shortly before I went Reserve, Tyndall had a 1978 C model in the 95th. When I returned in 02 as a civilian, I never recalled seeing it again. Okinawa is slated to trade in their Eagles for Raptors in the near future. Just like everything else, Hurry up and wait.

Yeah - you guys need some new jets. I was over there last month with the Indiana ANG and it looked like you all were having a bear of a time making sorties. |

| I saw a comic running around ACC over a year ago about the Okinawa Hanger Queens. The F-15 fighter capabilities manager over in weps and tactics had it hanging on his cork board. (At least, I think it was him....) |

| Probably depends how many get bought. The USAF would *like* to include a squadron of them in each of it's 10 expeditionary wings. |

| 10 squadrons is like 270 airplanes... I am not sure that is going to happen. |
