Hey Pastorius, remember Ed Evers causing you to have to fight the whole Navy in Peurto Rico. How did the ribs heal?

Heck, I remember that, that's when we were purchasing rum for about $3 a bottle and living in bunk racks in Navy billeting. Navy guys had to bust a chair over our youngest dude back then!! Laughing

Senior NCO Shaul, from the IAF Negev Sq' started working on block 5 vipers in febuary 1982
still working today on the f-16I block 52+, so i think it makes him the longest serving f-16 troop.
great guy BTW, and few are more professional then he is.
Cheers Cheers.

Well, I'll have to concede he's got me beat by a month.

I'll confine my bragging to the USAF.

I did start out on one of the last Block 1s in the inventory, so I've got SNCO Shaul on that front!

I'd love to meet him someday. We'd have close to 50 years on the Viper between us.

I got 27 years and still counting. AFETS guy on the WW tails at Misawa. I work with a guy that has 31 years, since 1977. Chris Kemnitz. Although he was a Reserves guy, then Depot Test, NAS Fallon as a civilian and now AFETS. But it's all Viper time!!

16 years, I did have a 15 month break with the F-117. Torrejon, RAF Bentwaters, Ramstein, Hill, Kunsan, Eielson, and Gianaclis. Two tours with the F-117, retired just before they did.

Back when I showed up at Hill in March, 82, I was among the first 3-levels sent directly to the brand-new Viper. Before that, it was maintained by mostly prior F-4 guys.

I didn't think much of it over the years, until I noticed most of my contemporaries getting out either by separation or retirement.

I've been on the F-16 continually since I came in, stationed at:

Hill
Torrejon
Nellis
Luke
Kunsan
Spangdahlem
Hill
Gianaclis (Egypt F-16s)
and Luke

Any old-time Viper guys still on active duty?

82 ? I got my 5 level in early 80 and I did not work on f-4's??
