Hey,

I was just curious if anyone knows what the seat angle will be on the f-35. 15 degrees like the f-15 or 30 degrees like the viper? Also if anyone knows the same thing for the Raptor, it would be much appreciated. Thanks all

Hey TC, thanks for the link. That guy is squared away with his seats. I thought it was very interesting to read that the Raptor will be able to recline from 15 degrees to 55 degrees like a car and in the event of an ejection, the seat would snap forward to 15 degrees in half a second. Without getting too far off topic, I could not find anything about the F-35 on the site. Does anyone know the kind of seat the JSF will have?

No problem! Yeah, Kevin definitely has his Sierra wired tight when it comes to the seats. He was a longtime egress troop. I did Life Support, so my main experience with the seats is doing chute and kit pulls. I didn't work the actual mechanical parts of the seat. Every now and again, we'd help egress change out seat catapults, but that was it. Anyway, Kevin is definitely the guy to ask for any ejection seat questions.

The Martin Baker Mk.16 will be the seat for the F-35. There should be a link on his site for it.
