Is the F-35 electrical system similar to the F-16? By that I mean is is still based on the 400Hz AC and 28V DC systems?

Morning,

The boxes I work on receive 28 VDC (1 & 2 per 1760), 115 VAC 400 Hz and 270 VDC.

Ciao,
Smithsguy

Thanks Smithsguy - I assume you are referring to JSF boxes, not F-16 boxes?

270V DC main power system including the acft battery. No it's is nothing like an F-16 electrical power system.

Correct. In this case, we're on the receiving side of power from our own (Smiths) boxes.
