"Zipper-strips" on the radome. What are those things actually called anyway?

Not sure what the technical name for those is, but they are static dischargers, like on the wing. They help keep the static out from the front of the jet and to transfer it farther back the airframe.

Any injury accrued from the jet is a "Viper Bite".

The old NVIS lighting was "Christmas Lights" since it looked like the light strings on a Christmas tree.

"Sh!t Hot" refers to something/someone that's extremely good.

"AFU" and "TU"/"T!ts Up" means that something is extremely broken.

I only heard it from one expediter, but "Microwave" for the radar while it is running and "Popcorn" for any fool that goes into the area while it's running.

"Red Ball" is for anything that goes wrong during launch.

I alway called 2 seaters "Buses". Didn't matter what model if it had two seats it was a bus.

They are called Lighting Diverter Strips, pretty self explanatory.
