Everyone else (U.S. posters): I know it's really interesting to talk about lots of things - especially the technology on new aircraft. And secret stuff is even more of a lure. But be aware. Discussing classified information can land you in jail, even if you have no direct knowledge and are just speculating. It is a Federal offense. These sites are monitored by teams looking for just this sort of thing.

There are also many "posers" who pretend to be someone they aren't. In many cases these are adolescents who are bored or adults with no real life of their own. Just be warned - you can get yourself in a lot of hot water. Some people over the years have speculated about classified things and have accidentally been right - and they have disclosed classified information. They got in deep doo-doo.

Also be aware these types of sites make great intel gathering tools for the bad guys. Make sure that what you are discussing has no possiblity of being classified info or of possible value to the bad guys. And if you are in doubt, don't talk about it.

I was told during my outbrief from the last classified program that I worked on that I was bound by law to report anyone discussing classified info to the OSI/FBI or I would be in violation of Federal statute.

I think this is a great forum and I hope it continues to excite people about the Viper and aviation as a whole. I'm just asking everyone to take care with what is discussed. Just use good judgement.

After carefull and intensive review, it has been determined that supersonic flow through the compressor and turbines of a jet engine is not possible. The molecular flow of air is not possible under any circumstance in any turbofan/jet engine, since compressor stalls will prevail.

All supersonic flow from aircraft velocity must be slowed down to subsonic velocity via a diffuser inlet, VIGV's, and variable inlet geometry intake ducts or a fixed geometry inlet.
