I have always loved the sleek lines of the Albatros series, especially the D.III!
A true workhorse for Germany's flyboys, these babies had laminated plywood fuselages. Talk about early luxury model aircraft!!! |

Properly updated to modern spec, perhaps this absolute beaut would not only still be operational, but still in production!

Wow, that was a pretty cool design and definitely ahead of its time.
I miss North American. |

You'll have to excuse me for not sifting through 50 pages, but the Foxbat is the muscle car of fighter jets and I'm in love.
Pure muscle. That's beauty to me.

The perfect combination of beauty, speed, manuverability, climbing rate and service ceiling.. No, I'm not talking about the -16, hehe... Gentleman, the Mustang P-51...

Awesome pic, the Raptor is one of my favourites too... BUT
"Because kicking your a$$ with the F-15 and F-16 for 30 years got boring." LOL
EPIC! |

Funny thing about that. Seems the AF wanted to drop the Hog (too ugly for candy a$$ed fighter jocks) until Congress made it clear that it would void the Key West agreement of 1948 and give the planes to the Army and Marines the if they didn't want 'em. Of course the flyboys nearly sh!t themselves at the thought of groundpounders pissing on their fixed-wing tree and decided to keep a few around.
