It never ceases to amaze me about all the good things this website has. None of it can be taken for granted.

I mean, where else can you read a mishap report on an aircraft, click on the serial number link shown in the article and then, even though that airframe is now wrecked, you can see where it was and what it did during it's active service including photos of that exact airframe when possible.

That is pretty special and all the effort put into this is appreciated.

It is pretty cool. My first F-16 was 81-794, directly from the factory to Torrejon AB. My name was on the canopy rail, and I spent hours with my crew chief working on it. I flew it all over the Med on numerous "good deal" deployments.

I have a photo of -794 with me and the crew chiefs on the wall in my study, along with a correctly painted wooden model that I got while stationed in PACAF. When I found this site, I searched for and found -794 in the boneyard at DM. (It looks so sad. Wish I could buy it and park it in my backyard.)

I downloaded the photo and have that framed alongside the photo of -794 when it was new. Good job to the guys that put this stuff together.

Hi Meteor,

Do you happen to have that picture of 81-0794 digitally? The reason I ask. As you probably have noticed, we only have a picture of that airframe in the Boneyard. We'd love to have one in standard squadron colors while it was still active.

Greets,
