| The UK already has a UAV called Phoenix, so the RAF can't use that. |

| Razorback just sounds right... I mean all the others sound cool but just don't fit the plane. What about Great White like the shark? Check out the color scheme on the '35s and then look at Jaws and tell if you think there isn't a family resemblince. |

| If the production JSF had the Boeing's undernose air scoop you could get away with Shark. How about Raptorlite? Sparrowhawk? Warhawk? Wildcat or Hellcat for the Navy version. And something kickass for the Marines: The F/A-35 'Kill'em all and let the Army dig their graves'? |

Viewed the results and "Razorback" has a slight lead. But please let it get into service before lableing it a pig.
Since it's a JOINT Fighter maybe each branch can have their own name...
USAF: Eagle II
NAVY: Supercat
Marines: Up and Down Flying Thingy |

| Pilots would love it since it is a verb associated with oral *****; i.e. she was bobbing like mad. |

Get's my vote. But the NAVY will name it the......."Bobcat".
Something else to think about, that makes it a "Battery Operated (What?)". |

Just thought everyone would like to know that, whatever JSF model gets produced, it wont be called Kestrel in US service. We just named our new Presidential Helicopter the VH-71A "Kestrel"---->

But there are plenty of other good names, like Razorback, Arbalest, and Phoenix for example
