| Looks like the increased the manning for crew chiefs. The Rocky Mountain coalition was performing it with 26 crew chiefs and the guys worked the jets and met each tasked mission as well. Other changes have been made but can't mention them here. |

Great story! For the most part it wasn't so bad though. I was assigned to the 332nd EAMXS. For most of the attacks we were already in a HAS. Our policy was if there was an attack during launch, you continued to get the plane in the air. Our cutoff time for the launch was if the pilot had stepped on the ladder or not. Don't feel I should say much more.
Cheers!

Nice to see someone do a story on those guys. I know both of them from Hill and one of them was at the Kun with me on my first tour. They do rock as Crew Chiefs.

I did indeed feel for you guys on the east side man. I never saw much point in dashing for the bunker after the rocket hit....I figured if I heard it then I was OK, LOL! Our bunker was where the spiders and mice lived.
I never did get a chance to see what "Panther" looked like. I guess she was at the JDOC, huh?
That damned alarm horn was less that 200 ft. from my hootch.....I still hear that alarm red signal sometimes. Right after we got there, while we still in KBR tent land, they set off the wrong alarm and hit the one for gas.....THAT got everybody's pulse going as we scrambled for the MOPP gear.
They should have the big new BX done by now! |

| A big new BX....Yipee!! Never saw what Panther looked like either. Left for some good imagining though. Maybe I'll swing by the JDOC and see if she's still there next month. |
