What is not known to the public about this incident is the fact that the second pilot, the one that was saved was... Israeli!!! Funny games and backstabs from two "friendly" counties, wouldn't you say?

Well, It's well known that the Greeks are not as inocent as they always claim to be.
The problem is that they always go:" They started it, we're just defending ourself...."
It takes two to pick a fight....
Let's hope that the Turkish and Greek goverment can see through their differences and fight for a common cause.
Aetos, there is no backstabing, snap out of it and quit whining |

| The back seater was not an Israeli pilot. Greek imagination...He was Lt.Col. Cemil Cikekli, who was in the training flight when this happened. He served 2 years in UK as TuAF military attache. After returning Turkey, he was assigned to 192 filo before crash. He is 100% Turkish and works for Turkish Airlines after retiring from the Air Force. |
