I'm partial to the viper, but realistically....the Beagle is faster, can hold more ordanance, and is just one hell of a badass with a combat record to boot. Guess we'll have to see what numbers the Block 60 puts up in the next decade. Only time will tell.

The Beagle may be able to hold more weapons, but doesn't the Viper have a wider array of weapons to choose from?

No contest: Head-2-head the Beagle wins this fight. Range, speed, radar, thrust, lethality, ordnance options, war load, you name it. But remember that the Beagle fills a USAF need. Whereas the Block 60 was built for UAE requirements. Two totally different animals requiring totally different jets.

I stand to be corrected. For A-G mission, I believe the APG-80 of the Block 60 provides better SAR resolution? and to quote from an article "the radar could search for surface targets and do terrain-following while simultaneously searching for airborne threats". Something the APG-70 of the F-15E is not capable of? The TF function can only be complemented by the NVP (which will induce some drag?).
To add on to the customized need LinkF-16SimDude has mentioned, the stand-off AGM identified for UAE F-16E/F is PGM-500 and PGM-2000. I guess the interoperability of the PGM with UAE Mirage 2000-9 is an intangible advantage.
cheers, |

In response to you Link, wern't the Block 50/52+ and 60 designed to have capabilites similar to the F-15E (range, mission, weapons)?
