Sure, Harrier, 747, Spitfire, Shackleton, 707, BAC1-11, Gulfstream, F-27, F-227,748, Metro 3, Martin 404.
And the latest incarnation, a NASA project on a 747-400 with PW4062 engines which was looking at cutting down NOX during takeoff.
Of course things that were old can be new again. We just have to be old enough to remember them.
When the water or even better water meth, with or without "fish oil" gets screwed up the results can be interesting. A BAC1-11 got water meth instead of water into the injection system - lots of extra power and cooked blades.
When the water meth barrel gets filled with a witches brew of fuel, meth, water solvents and paint thinners, and it then gets put into a Dart the extra power waters the eyes of the torque meter.
Not to mention a squadron of Harriers with sea water rather than demineralized water in the system.
This is probably the one system that has had more oh sh*t issues than any other.
I prefer this form of water injection |

I don't think I ever posted on this here thread.
I'm old enough for lotto tickets in my state, old enough to gamble in the state to the North, but not old enough to get wasted... ....yet I'm just over 19 1/2 |

Ok, Kids, are you ready for this?
I turned 70 on Thursday. Is there anyone older on the forum? Gums may be close. |

| I'm 55 and still flying. I flew Vipers at MacDill 88-90, then back to Tornado GR1 in the UK. Last fast jet tour was at Brüggen until 00. Now I fly light singles (Grob Tutor), teaching the RAF's equivalent of ROTC cadets. |
