Dear Members,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tomasz, and I'm Polish – by birth, citizenship, residence [Link pending approval] to the bones. I live in Warsaw and make my living as an English translator / interpreter.
I've been interested in modern military aviation for years; since 1998 I haven't missed a single Air Show organised in Poland. Quite naturally, I'm interested in the F-16 more than in any other jet, since Poland is about to receive its first Block 50-52 Vipers to be delivered under the "Contract of the Century" between the Polish and US governments.
I'm very fond of flight sims of different genre, and obviously Falcon [Link pending approval] is my sim of choice at the moment. Surely I do realise the vast differences between even the best sim and Real Life flying, but at least the sim gives me a hint of all the complexities of the flight / weapons control systems and avionics. This, in turn, frequently causes RL flying – related questions; hence my decision to register at this Forum, which I'm sure I'll enjoy very much.
With best wishes and regards to All,
Tomasz ('TClaymore') |

Hi Tomasz,
Welcome to this forum and thank you for the thorough introduction! If you ever pick up information about the Polish F-16s in the local newspapers, please let us know.
Best regards,
Lieven |

Hey Tomasz,
How are you doing? I just wanted to tell you I was in Warsaw back in November of 2003 giving an F-16 Mechanical Systems Familiarization Course to a bunch of your Air Force Folks. I've got to tell you, Warsaw was the most incredible place I've ever been.
There was a translator/interpreter named Monica who I remember worked for an PAF/ADF General, man she was hot and really nice, maybe you know her.
At the time I was an F-16 Instructor for Lockheed and I was for five years, I'm with the JSF F-35 Program now, but the Viper will always be "The Fighter of choice for me".
Take it easy bro.
Gilmore. |

Thank you for the warm welcome and kind words, gentlemen.
Very encouraging, I may even start to post in these [Link pending approval]
Happy Gilmore - I'm glad you liked it here in Warsaw.
I've been to the US a couple of times, once even managed to visit the Capitol (Washington DC) with an official Polish delegation (not related to aviation, though).
Regards to All,
Tomasz |

| Poland is great, and Wroclaw kicks a$$! If you're ever in Wroclaw, visit the local BMW repair shop, these guys are the greatest! They fixed my BMW when I got stuck there once. The owner said I was the best brake man ever after he towed my 525 with his 325. |
