You say "this isn't your Air Force any more" and ignore him...respectfully. A friend of mine had to fly a Viper cross country for some kind of training requirement (A sim at the plant maybe?) and learned that Yeager was going with him. Since my friend was an IP he flew in the pit and Yeager got the gunner's seat. During the long boring ride my friend kept asking him questions about his career. After a while Yeager asked him "what the hell ya doing back there boy, reading my book?" He sheepishly answered yes. Yeager demanded that he hand it to him, and Yeager returned it autographed.
Yeager is a jerk in general, but this was a rare good story. |

Hill Air Force Base • Congressman Jason Chaffetz donned a G-suit and checked that he had a vital piece of equipment — three barf bags — before heading to the skies with a Hill Air Force Base pilot in an F-16 fighter jet Saturday afternoon. |

May be little bit but I have a funny exercise for you guys;
Could you be able to distinguish who is the pilot and who is the passenger in the picture above and how?
(this is an exercise for people who didn't see them before)

Check for rank insignia. Oh...and if it's a post-flight photo, the passenger is the one that's planting a big wet kiss on the concrete. |

| I was thinking it would be the guy with documents in his leg pockets. It's hard to tell who has rank on their shoulders. The bold guy looks more fit, which is indicative of a military type while the other dude has hair and just kind of looks like a politician. Looks like he's packing some pounds too. The boots too. |
