OHHH I am gunna let them know they have a reputation. I am an instructor now at sheppard (AKA SHITHOLE) and know the mafia well. As far as not being an instructor until you are at least a staff, I hate to tell you that is not correct.

Shiz302, who are you? I graduated under Needham in November 2003. Just wondering if I know you. My favorite quotes from Needham were when he laughed ("ha ha ha...ehhhh") or when safety-wiring ("pull to TITAN"). Heh. Laters.

LOL man I think my class really tested his patience. " You have to pull in the TITAN-ING POSITION. " My last name is pronouced Buck-er-ite and he would always say Airman Buckrit. LOL I know what you're saying about him laughing tho, we had a real good time on his account. I graduated in april 04 so I don't think I met you.

All right......time for a dumb Air Guard Guy to chime in....I work for, well, we'll just say an awesome guard unit from the northern most part of the U.S. I have been an engine guy for 6 years and within the past 2 years have been permanently in the flightline as a Crew Chief (have the schooling) and I absolutely love it!! I was trying to get a full time (Civil Service) job with the unit, and since it is so tough, I was applying for everything and was selected for a fulltime job in Phase. I absolutely hate it and want the hell out........Doug

I have been a flightline person for 8 yrs AD 2 yrs as a Inst. and now a couple of months in the Guard. I started off as a temp tech and now was also selected for a full time slot in PHASE... Evil or Very Mad and could not agree with you more...

I remember a bunch of instructors really into body building, great guys, but man, I am not a big guy and they would make an example to everyone that, "We used to look like Fitz, now with our protien and creatine, and a hard work out regiment, look what we are." and I just wanted to give them a Thumbs up. Lots of people were Gym Rats in Tech School.

I don't think instructors stay there that long.

For some reason, E/E instructors stay there a LONG time. My seven level school instructor at Sheppard (MSgt. select) was the same guy that was my Block IV instructor at Chanute, eight years eariler. His partner, a TSgt., had taught at Chanute and Sheppard a total of 14 years. I heard that was beginning to change. I'd hate to have a guy in my shop that hadn't touched a plane in over ten years.

I appreciate the compliment, my intention was to prepare you for the flightline, I guess it worked. I am at Kirtland AFB on the JSF test Team. I am a SMSgt now, going for the last stripe. Take [Link pending approval]
