This is my 125th post, but better late than never Smile

I just retired from the USAF after 21 years, having re-emerged as a slimy beltway bandit in the DC (Crystal City) area.

I have been around Vipers almost my entire career:

Eglin AFB - Munitions Test Engineer

AFIT - Aero Eng Grad School

Edwards AFB - B-1, B-2 Flight Test Engineer
- B-2 used F-16s as chase and pacer aircraft; pacer aircraft fly in close formation with super-calibrated airspeed systems as a truth source in evaluating the B-2 air data system. As the B-2 Air Data System "guy", it was my duty to keep the Vipers calibrated. This was where I lost my Viper "cherry" as I flew pit in what was supposed to be a B-2 chase mission...it canceled, we didn't.

Test Pilot School
- We used F-16B in the curriculum. My group graduation project was an evaluation of a new set of HUD symbols intended to improve pilot attitude awareness and recovery from unusual attitudes.

Kelly AFB - T-38, T-37, C-5, QF-106 and F-5 Test Manager and Lead FTE
Supporting a Northrop Grumman project where an F-16 radar was put in an F-5E. I was given a flight in an MLU test bird to see an APG-66 in action.

F-16 System Program Office (SPO) - Test Manager, Program Manager, Branch Chief
3 1/2 years testing and upgrading virtually every block of Viper, training systems, and mission planning systems. Ran NVIS, bought new jets off the production line, and even ran the "special projects" shop for a year.

Eglin AFB - Deputy Director, Mission Planning Systems Combined Test Force
- AFMSS sucked, but I once again got involved with F-16 AFMSS and PFPS development.

Pentagon - Chief, International C4ISR Programs (Fancy name for C4ISR Export Policy Advisor)
- Mostly worked UAVs, recce pods, and ground-based radar systems, but with my "special projects" background I also worked HAVE GLASS export policy.

Now I work for a company where I support a Navy program office that actually has involvement with, wait, here it comes...VIPERS! WOO HOOO.

Long intro, but glad to be here.
