Not a hoax at all....I know the photographer...he's a good guy spotter like me.
Hoax? Really?
It was up again on August 13....these shots were taken by me...no Hoax.
So. suppose the first Dutch F35A maid it’s first flight.
Sounds strange this has not been published officially?
At the other hand, the Dutch are a small country with a small Airforce.
So, not that much of international attention for a first flight is not really that strange.
The US and UK F35’s have maid their first flights already, this jet is no more than just another F35 and a lot of other, next F35’s will make their first flights as well
Thanks for your shots of the F35 |

| I think it is not published due to elections. This will only spark discussion which is not very useful in the running up. Nobody will gain anything with widely publishing this right now. |

Heard a rumor from inside the plant, but no official verification,
AN-1, (AKA F001):
1st Company Flight 6-Aug-12
2nd Company Flight 10-Aug-12
3rd Company Flight 13-Aug-12 (Last Company Flight, next flight is DoD as a part of the DD-250 process)
Also rumor has it that, a group of Dutch Air Force pilots happened to be at LM on other business and got to witness the first flight.
Sorry, though it is all rumors from people I know at LM, I'm going with joost theory of mum's the word until after the elections.

I think we have a winner!
On another note, now that LM has completed LRIP3, will the LRIP4 a/c be delivered with M.S. 2.A? I realize "2.A" has started recently flying in the A's and B's and irregardless, M.S. 1.B can/ will be retro-fitted to "2.A". What was on the plan/ schedule for LRIP4 deliveries? Also, what is the probability of the four "OT" tailcodes were delivered with "2.A". |

sorry, but these are speculations. Doesn't make sense. It's no more than a first flight. Not of any importance for a politician, only incase their would have been a lot of problems.
Secondly, when important their would have been questions about why not published a first flight. |

Yes, that is why I start my post with "I think". Indeed speculation, but I disagree that it doesn't make sense. It does make sense. Big attention by the MoD might be damaging in this particular time. |

Maybe the Dutch airforce is not that big or not often in the top of the news, but FF of another international costumer airplane is a very BIG news for LM.
I can't believe they'll give up the chance to show off their abilities, unless the US government told them so.
Dutch elections? maybe... |

Indeed, it is remarklaby quiet in the Dutch media. No news about this maiden flight at all. "No news is good news?" |
