Bodgan nominated to head F-35 JSF programme By Dave Majumdar

http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articl ... me-375051/

"US Air Force Maj Gen Christopher Bogdan is being nominated to become the next head of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter programme.

Bogdan, who until recently was the programme manager for the USAF's prized Boeing KC-46 tanker effort, is currently serving as the deputy to current F-35 chief Vice Admiral David Venlet. Bodgan was also nominated for his third star and will be appointed to the rank of Lieutenant General when he takes over the programme later this year...."

I second popcorn's comment. He should get his 4th and drop the "Vice."

Great, just when he finally posts one without seconding it himself. Very Happy

According to scuttlebutt, Vadm. Venlet was intending to retire at the end of his NAVAIR tour. Vadm Venlet is a Navy legend, and has been in the Navy more than 35 years (1976 USNA graduate) and well known for his F-14 downing a Libyan Sukhoi over the Gulf of Sidra, in addition to his accomplishments as a test pilot. I wish him well for the future.
