Worst thing that ever happen to myself with the hook was during an FCF launch, when doing so the pilot drops the hook on to a chock, pilot asked me over the headset is it all clear, I responded yes, the hook came down and I didn't notice my comm cord was draped over the chock "BAM" cut in half. The pilot had no idea why he couldn't hear me till I walked out in front of the jet holding my end of the cord, he just started laughing. Later I found he was relieved, he thought he took me out with the hook. I had to take alot of jokes after that .

That happened when I was still a young pup like you. Only goes to show "clear" means more than just people. I don't think I ever told anyone in the 23rd that one. Buddy would have never let me live that one down.
