It was apparently a fire in the engine that forced the pilot to eject.
The pilot has been identified as 1st Lt. Louis Davenport of Houston. He is a member of the Texas Air National Guard based at Ellington Field.
Davenport only suffered bumps and bruises. |

That was me!!!! What an experience that was. Incidentally, there were no bumps... only a couple of small bruises.
