Some food for thought, there are several USN and USMC pilots who have flown F-22's. Also there was recently a USN pilot who transfered to USAF. What if you had two such pilots that were F/A-18E pilots that decided they wanted to "jump ship" together and go fly F-22's. Then your two F-22 pilots would be carrier rated although likely expired by the time they got in the seat of an F-22 for combat. If their last station was the JFK (people in command know them) and the JFK had lost much of its Air Wing, then the carrier might let them try to land. Additionally, you can switch out Weapons School for Top Gun and other similar substitutions to make it appear this are Naval Aviators that recently switched.

On the maintance side, in 2025 the F-35C could be deployed on the JFK, that would help as they could have similar equipment that could be used in a fix to maintain the F-22's.

Just some thoughts to make the CVN ops more plausable.
