Great! Thanks HazF16!
The way she says "lock" sounds like a man. |

Yup thats what I hear every time I push that test button during a engine run, almost have it memorised! That file sounds like "Lox lock??" was voiced over, I dont remember Betty saying it at all or like that on our block 52's, Guess I will have to listen closer! |

the "lock" tone is used in DGFT mode whenever the radar automatically locks onto a target. |

Salute!
Yeah, they put in the voice warning doofer as I was leaving.....
I have a tape of a famous midair. After the tail and other parts get sliced off by an F-4, the Viper goes end-over-end and the troop ejects.
All the way to impact you can hear Bitchin' Betty calmly saying, "Caution, Caution.....Warning Warning...." YGBSM. Last thing I needed in a fight was some broad yelling at me when I got real slow and the FLCS sensors went out of limits, lighting up the panel lites.
BTW, we pilots kinda voted not to have the "PULL UP, PULL UP" voice warning, as it would be going off all the time when down on the deck whilst maneuvering.

I think there should be a "perv" option. So that as part of start up... a pilot selects the voice that he thinks will best get his attention. ( a menu list of various famous hotties )...
Of course don't forget the ladies... A menu list of guys...
Oh yeah and the don't-ask-don't-tell pilot, where either can be selected.... ( er ... no data log in the maintenace history being recorded of which selection you make ......hmmm... maybe 'yes' ...maybe...'no'..... this data record to capture and store that selection would have to pass through safety me thinks... could be a useful metric in a mishap investigation.... )
Can I sell value added options to the customer or what???? OK make me VP of something at LM... |

Hey....I've always said they shoulda gotten Kathleen Turner to do the voice for the fellas. Actually...make that the pre-Jessica Rabbit Kathleen Turner voice, not the silly one she's got now with the goofy foreign accent. You'd need a smoke after each "engagement".
And for the ladies? Barry White.....'nuff said.
...."Lock...Lock, Baby"
...."You know you jus'...GOTTA...pull up!, pull up!"

Great choice!
( approaching alt limit setting ) Low voice - "Come on Ladies...you know you gotta pull it up..."
(at alt limit setting)
{corus}-
"Pull it up baby.....you know you got to pull ...it ....up.....
....Yeah....
"Pull it up baby.....you know you got to pull ...it ....up.....
....Yeah....
"Pull it up baby.....you know you got to pull ...it ....up.....

What makes you say that? Sounds pretty much like the same voice I hear in the jet. |

| Nope, you hear that when someone sends you some info via datalink. (well, at least IDM/IDT in the Block 40. Not sure if that holds true for the Link16 stuff in the Block 30's, but I would imagine it does. You Guard guys feel free to correct me or add some amplifying info!) |

| Nope, no "data" audio for 30's (or "Pull up" I believe). You get a "Data" flasher in the middle of the HUD for a text message from base or WADS, but for points they just appear on your TAD. Tag the point with the cursors and then you've got it. |

I THINK the sounds are accurate. I am a fighter pilot wannabe. I have heard recordings of F-16s online. I know for a fact that the altitude, caution, and warning alarms are actual.
I play Falcon 4 on a regular basis and I don't think it uses some of the other alarms, like data. Falcon doesn't use IFF at all. |
