Just go to Google Maps (I don't know about Google Earth) and paste in these coordinates: 55.57463,38.143668
I've been rather addicted to this service lately as it has enabled me to do a little amateurish *spying*. If you zoom out from the above mentioned location, you'll notice that some kind of international airshow was taking place on another part of the field when the photo was made (MAKS?). In any case I can't really tell if the 1.44 is on static display or not; I'm guessing it's not really a secret, but zooming in on this kind of stuff is still fun. |

| When I put in those coordinates, I end up in a parking lot. Where is the 1.44? |

| Really? That's where the green arrow was pointing? I tried it a couple of times just to make sure, and it worked. In any case, I was poking around on secretprojects and it seems that the prototype has simply been left to rot with little security. So its not like I found anything important. |

Last time I looked at the latest sat pic of my house, there was a strange car parked in the driveway.
Would have been while I was at work.

Did a quick google earth search. That's Zhukovsky air base, in the town in eastern Russia of the same name.
There are many other aircraft at the site than these fighters.

And here are some in-person photos of the derelict aircraft I dug up on panoramio, with a google maps pic of the coordinates of my own at the top. |

| If you look around the base on Google Earth, you'll see A-10s and B-52s parked right next to Soviet era Russian hardware. Apparently the satellite phots were taken just as the MAKS airshow was taking place. |

| Nice find, though the google maps image is a little blurry. If you find anymore, create a new topic with "Google Maps Planes" and I'll be sure to check it out. |
