Does anyone think that the Royal Air Force, would benefit from getting the F-16, as a lightweight battlefield attack support aircraft?? |

| If they're looking for lightweight aircraft, I'd consider either new-build 200-series Hawks, or converting some of the existing trainer Hawks for the light attack role. In any case, this role probably should be filled to provide a low-capability complement to JCA, Tornado, and Typhoon. |

I'm not familiar with that nomenclature. Has the MoD even asked for such an aircraft? |

| RAF is broke. They'll have to make do with what they have. |

Didn't they used to have a lightweight battlefield attack support aircraft called the SEPECAT Jaguar?
Like all their shortsighted defense decisions they got rid of their Jaguars in 2006. |

| Why can't the Typhoon be a lightweight battlefield attack support aircraft? |
