Will this designation change ever happen as we continue to upgrade our raptor fleet? Afterall we now have the A-10C.

There isn't much reason for a large upgrade upgrade at the moment... And there may never be. A sixth gen might come around before a Raptor upgrade.

Unless any more are built, I doubt it. Now you may see an F-22A Increment 6.5 some day.
