Hi all,
I work for Pioneer Productions, a TV production company based in London ([Link pending approval]) and we are currently producing a six-part series for a major broadcaster. For the series, we will be doing a whole heap of drama reconstructions involving various aircraft. One aircraft we are trying to get a hold of is a F-16 Fighter Jet. We just need to be able to film in the cockpit of one but we have to do it in the [Link pending approval]
Has anyone built a replica cockpit? Or know anyone in the [Link pending approval] that has?
Many thanks for all your help,
Katie Brimblecombe

I'd suggest finding a museum with an F-16 in it? Anyone looked?

Contact the Belgian and or Dutch Air Force.
They fly a lot to, and in the UK.
Am sure you will not have to wait one month. |

If it's a UK TV series, I doubt your audience will give a rat's-a$$ about what cockpit you use.
Wow! What an off base reply to a reasonable question.
Really? How many television viewers out of 1000 do you think would know the difference between an F-16 cockpit and the inside of a paper bag?
Really?? It sounds like they are showing multiple aircraft & cockpits. The F-16C/D has a fairly unique cockpit layout, with side-stick & glass cockpit compared to most 4th gen aircraft. So yes, in even a half decent TV production. It does matter.
Can you tell which movies show plastic models vs a real f-16? I usually can. |

Contact info for the Belgian Air Component is: +32(0)2 701 42 06
Or direct contact for the Belgian 349 Sqn (which was btw a Royal Air Force squadron formed by Belgian personnel in 1943): http://www.349sqn.be/contact |
